Katie was born and raised in Cape May County, New Jersey and was determined to become a meteorologist from a young age.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the Florida Institute of Technology. Katie has over a decade of professional weather and surf forecasting experience, and previously worked as a meteorologist for Surfline and the FAA.
